About VILLA ISABELLA-STRESA

Villa Isabella, built in the 1920s as the residence of an Italian army general's family, stands as an elegant three-story property overlooking Lake Maggiore. Renovated in 2005, the villa boasts a refined design featuring vintage touches and artworks by local artists. Large windows in every room offer breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding landscapes. Our accommodations include two spacious bedrooms on the second floor, each with an independent bathroom and stunning lake views. Guests can also enjoy our expansive green area, approximately 1,500 square meters, perfect for relaxation and leisure activities

EXTERIORS

The villa’s exterior spaces allow you to enjoy the best of alfresco living.  The whole green area, of about 1500 square meters, is available to our guests. There is also a romantic picnic table that can be used for breakfast, lunch, or a packed dinner if needed. Guests can access the park with their car to unload and load their luggage or leave it parked at no cost in the parking area.

LOCATION

Overlooking Lake Maggiore with magnificent views of the Borromean Islands, the villa is located  It is a perfect base for explorations of the region. Visit Milan (less than an hour away), go trekking at Lake Orta, or even cross the border to Switzerland, which is around 35km from the villa. Snow lovers will explore the Alps and their beautiful slopes. Do not miss a visit to Isola Madre island, where guests will admire the sumptuous Borromean Palace, dating back to the XVII century, and its important Italian garden. Moreover, on Isola Bella island you will find a rich botanic garden.

CONNECTIONS AND MOVING AROUND

The railway station is only 200 meters from the place for an easy connection to Milan and some places in Switzerland. Definitely, an obligatory stop to report is the one with the Lago Maggiore Express train that connects Domodossola with Locarno along a railway between the mountains.  Near the house, there is also the "Alibus" bus stop which travels to and from Malpensa airport, and a well-stocked supermarket.  We suggest at least a minimum of 2-3 nights to be able to visit the main attractions of Stresa.

SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES

English, German, French, Dutch and Italian are all spoken at the villa.

Concierge service and check-out cleaning are included in the price.  

Optional additional services to enhance your comfort may include laundry and babysitting. Activities available at an additional cost include yoga instruction, boat rental, helicopter tours, and beauty treatments.  

OTHER THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

Cash payment of the daily tourist tax, 1 euro per person per night required.
The swimming pool you see in the photo is instead for the exclusive use of the property and therefore not accessible for guests.
Domestic animals not allowed.
Parties or events are not allowed.
